Phil Aynsley has been a fan of Ducati since he bought his first motorbike, a 250 Desmo, in 1972.

Aynsley’s love for Ducatis is matched only by his passion for photography. “Ever since buying my first in 1972, I’ve been taking photos of them. How could you not?”

After 30 years, he hasn’t tired of his beloved Ducatis and is revered by the motorcycle industry as one of the best photographers in the business.

Ducati lovers will relish Volume 2 with its expanded section on Road and Race bikes and a raft of new photos not previously released. It’s a must-have for any Ducatisti!

A masterpiece

Anysley's photographic insight to the beauty of Ducati motorcycles is unprecedented in the history of motorcycles. The visual quality is incredible. After looking a the book for the last 2 weeks, I sought out GTI Media, publisher of Vol 1 and Vol 2. I was able to purchase the last box set limited signed edition of Angsley, Volume 1. Its is the perfect compliment to Vol 2.

Great photography but sparse on detail

The photography featured in this book is gorgeous. However, some of the bikes chosen as his favorite subjects (the 500 vertical twin? Twice featured, really? And new Scramblers?) are a little dubious. Also, would like to see some "rider's view" shots showing the instruments and surrounding cockpit, which can really convey the feeling of being on the bikes. There are lots of photos of rear wheels, brake calipers and drive chains, so a few of what the rider actually sees while on the bike would be great. Finally -- just a single line of text caption under the photos of what we're looking at would be nice, instead of having to flip to the index in the back of the book. But because of the beautiful photography which does include Ducati's most revered models over the years (despite the duds included), I give the book Four Stars.
