Great Ride Down Memory Lane

I was really pleased with STREETBIKES OF THE '60s. Born in 1955, I was smitten by motorcycles by the early 60s. When my older brother brought his new Ward's Riverside 50CC bike home, I thought it was the most beautiful piece of machinery I'd ever seen. As the bike craze hit my little farming community, I couldn't wait till I had my own bike. A used Honda 65, shared with my twin brother, was my first. Seeing the bikes in the Street Bikes of the 60s was like seeing photos off all the older girls I had crushes on as a boy. Beautiful, but generally, out of my reach at the time. Really enjoyed it.

Nostalgic Gems...

As a motorcycle crazy teen in the 60's, I deplored the Honda Dream, and yearned for a Yamaha Big Bear scrambler. Both bikes are lovingly featured in this wonderful collection of past MC articles, together with other iconic rides produced during this watershed decade.
Highly recommended!!

Not that great

I was expecting more motorcycles that are classic but also mainstream, examples such as kawasaki 900, or yamaha Vmax. The street bike issue leaned towards english bikes

Great book. Photography is excellent. Well written brief histories of each bike. I realize not all models can be included but those that are bring back a lot of memories of my youth!
